New 100% Natural Lawn Care Options For 2010

     We are pleased to introduce a range of new, 100% natural lawn care choices to complement our existing lawn care programs. Even though we have been offering natural Organic Lawn Care for over 20 years – long before the current pesticide restrictions came into effect, this past season has brought more changes and new product introductions than ever before. While today’s new natural products and services may not provide the same level of control effectiveness that we had been used to in the past, they are at least offering us alternatives in today’s pesticide-free environment. Here is a brief introduction to the new natural lawn care services we are providing for 2010;

· Corn Gluten Meal: Fertilizer & Weed/Crabgrass Inhibitor – This 100% natural product provides a balanced feeding for a thick green lawn, along with some capability to suppress weed growth in the spring and fall, and crabgrass growth in the spring. Utilizing this product annually can help to keep weeds & crabgrass in check.

· Alfalfa: Micronutrient, Stress Reducer & Bio Root Stimulant – Another 100% natural product that acts like a powerful multi-vitamin for your lawn, providing micro-nutrients not available in regular fertilizers to encourage amazingly strong turf roots – giving your lawn a fighting chance to combat stresses from drought, insects and diseases - along with a rich deep green color.

· Beneficial Nematodes: For White Grubs – Nature’s answer to managing these turf-damaging insects. These microscopic worms actively seek out and destroy white grubs, avoiding severe damage to your lawn. Totally safe and harmless to people, pets, lawn and gardens.

· Beneficial Nematodes: For Leatherjackets – These turf pests are relatively new, but cause considerable damage. A specific variety of naturally occurring, beneficial nematodes can help save our lawns from the damage caused by leatherjackets.

We know our current economy is tough. We also know our governments are proposing to implement a new “Harmonized Sales Tax”, effectively combining the PST and GST together. Currently, our Lawn & Landscape services are subject to GST only. That will change when the HST arrives – all lawn & landscape services will be subject to both taxes - a total of 13% added to your Lawn or Landscape invoice!
